In lieu of our usual column, we dedicate this month to the first responders who are saving lives while risking their own. To the families who have lost loved ones. And to our community volunteers who help those in need. FFG wants to thank all of you that have worked hard to heal, support, and rally our community. It is an honor to have such amazing neighbors and to watch your relentless bravery. All of us can do our part, in some small way, to help each other. We can make masks, feed the homeless, help our elderly neighbors who either have no one or are afraid to leave their homes. We can pay special attention to those service people who help us in our private, day-to-day lives, like housecleaners, dog-walkers, landscapers, and waiters at our favorite restaurants. Masks hide the smile, but words like “How are you?” and “Thank you” go farther than ever. Every little bit helps. Stay safe and remember to be part of the solution, not the problem. We will get through this together. May God bless us all.
